Capri is a travel and dating community platform that connects users worldwide for the purpose of travel companionship, group trip planning, and meaningful personal connections.

  • Payment information submitted when purchasing a subscription (processed by a third-party payment processor — we do not store full card numbers)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Capri app or website, certain data is collected automatically:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location derived from it
  • Precise GPS location, only when you grant location permission in your device settings
  • App usage data (features used, screens visited, swipe actions, session duration)

2.3 Information from Third Parties

If you link your social media accounts (such as Instagram or Facebook), we may receive limited profile information from those platforms in accordance with their own privacy policies and your permissions settings on those platforms.

  • To display your profile to other users based on their search and filter criteria

5.1 With Other Users

Your profile, photos, bio, preferences, and trip information are visible to other Capri users as intended by the platform. Your exact GPS coordinates are never displayed; only your chosen city and country are shown on your profile.

5.2 With Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party companies to operate our service. These include cloud hosting providers, payment processors, analytics tools, and customer support software. These providers may access your data only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect it.

5.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Capri, our users, or the public.

5.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on our website before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6. Payments & Subscriptions

Capri offers paid subscription plans (Basic at $4.99/month and Premium at $10.98/month) processed through Apple's App Store and Google Play. When you purchase a subscription:

  • Payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) — not directly by Capri
  • We do not receive or store your full credit card or debit card number
  • We receive confirmation of the transaction and your subscription status from the respective platform
  • Subscription renewals are automatic unless you cancel before the renewal date
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings
  • Refund requests are handled in accordance with the refund policies of Apple or Google and our own Terms of Service

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. Specifically:

  • Account data is retained for the duration of your account and for up to 30 days after account deletion, to allow for recovery if deletion was accidental.
  • Chat messages are stored on our servers while your account is active. Upon account deletion, messages are permanently removed within 30 days.
  • Verification footage is retained only long enough to complete the verification review, after which it is deleted.
  • Transaction records are retained for up to 7 years as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
  • Log data is retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.

8. Security

We take the security of your personal data seriously. We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS/TLS protocols
  • Encrypted storage of sensitive credentials such as passwords
  • Access controls limiting which staff members can access personal data
  • Regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments

9. Children's Privacy

Capri is strictly intended for users aged 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you are under 18, you may not use this app or website.

If we become aware that a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete such data from our systems. If you believe a minor has created an account on Capri, please notify us at info@capri.dating and we will investigate and act promptly.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you reside, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

10.1 Rights Under GDPR (EEA & UK Users)

  • Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

11. Account & Data Deletion

You may delete your Capri account at any time from within the app by navigating to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Upon deletion:

  • Your profile will be immediately removed from public discovery
  • Your personal data will be permanently deleted from our active databases within 30 days
  • Some data may be retained in backup systems for up to 90 days, after which it will be purged
  • Transaction records required for legal and financial compliance will be retained for the period required by law

You may also request data deletion by emailing info@capri.dating with "Data Deletion Request" in the subject line. Please include the email address associated with your Capri account.

12. International Data Transfers

Capri operates globally and your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data outside the EEA or UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection.

13. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
